Sherri's Bio

Sherri/DSCF0056.JPG

I was born on December 10th in Barre, Vermont, When I got old enough and began talking in sing-song fashion, my parents Gerard and Doris Perrreault. Knew that I would someday be an entertainer.
They started me in private tap and dance lessons at the age of four, and I was soon performing on stage at the Barre Auditorium.  My parents were determined to raise us in the country, so they moved my two brothers Mike, Gerard and myself to Williamstown. Vermont.
While I was in Williamstown Elementary School, I met my first music teacher Masters York.I give alot of my vocal credit to him.   Masters York worked very hard with me and he sure would not take the words "I can't " for answer. Later, when I went home my mom would help me practice what ever was taught to me on that day.
My earliest  memory of actually singing on stage was at 5 yrs. old. The audience couldn't see me as I was very tiny, so they stood me on a box so I would be taller.. I also broke the heel of my shoe, trying to climb down!
After that at different school performances, the audience soon realized what it meant when the box was brought out on stage.  At the age of 13, I had to part with Master York, because it was his time to retire. I have called on him since for advice or just to say hi.
By the age of 14, I was doing my own shows for vocational conferences, college functions , and I was taking saxophone and public relations.  Later I went on to teach public relations to vocational student's at Norwich University.
Although different things came up that I had to miss, like my junior prom, and picking out  dresses for this. But in order to keep my show dates there were things that I had to like deciding what open number I might be doing.
With years in different bands, I finally decided to put my own Country Show together. I took all the mistakes I've  seen and made in the past, and tried to learn from them. I have sat up many nights figuring what people liked and what they don't. And how to send the home feeling they'd been entertained.
After naming the Show Sherri's Jubilee, I host a eight member crew and together we traveled in a Euro Coach also better know as the(Long Black Bus).   This is not your ordinary show at that...there are comical little skits to bring a smile, plus Country Music at it's Finest. Traveling is what the crew likes most, so we cover a wide range of the Northeast with our performances. Besides special shows such as the Wildhorse Saloon, The General Jackson Showboat, and the Nashville Palace.   In September 2006 , I went to Nashville and recorded two songs In my Wildest Dreams and Wishful drinking.
